Our Story!

Yoga Home’s 2024 Teacher Trainiees outside of the Heart Center at SunWater Spa!

Yoga Home opened their doors on January 1st, 2021, as a way to keep our yoga community together after the closing of home studios due to Covid. Partnering with the beautiful SunWater Spa we offer yoga to the Manitou and Colorado Springs areas!

Our yoga guides have been influenced by their individual practices in different ways and bring their experiences to life through their teachings. It is our collective goal to create a safe space for practitioners to show up as they are and be empowered to explore their own mind, body, and Spirit.

The Depth:
Yoga is so much more than āsana (postures). The deeper exploration of yoga includes meditation, hand gestures (mudrā), chanting (mantra), breathwork (prāṇāyāma), philosophy, and more! Check out our additional offerings for more info!

To share the wonderful benefits I feel when practicing yoga 🔸If you could practice yoga anywhere in the world, where would it be? I would love to practice in Japan or Sweden close to waterfalls 🔸What are your favorite things to do when you're not on the mat? Off the mat, I enjoy spending time with my husband watching TV, playing video games, and shopping. I also love walking & hiking 🔸What are your Vedic astrology big 3 I have no idea about my Vedic astrology chart yet ~ I'm looking forward to learning what my chart tells me about what I should be doing with my life 🫣🙄😏 Taffi teaches Flow (Vinyasa) on Thursdays from 6-7:15 pm and Ground (Gentle) on Fridays 6-7:15 pm @ SunWater Spa!

Yoga changed my life! It made me aware of myself and the world around me in a new and fulfilling way. It helped me come back into my body and hear my own voice again. I was so excited about the practice and all the magic it had created in my life that I wanted to share it with others. 🔸If you could practice yoga anywhere in the world, where would it be? Take me to my Motherland...Sweden! 🔸What are your favorite things to do when you're not on the mat? I love to hike, cook, read, take my daily spiritual medicine aka meditation, spend time with my family (husband Alex, daughter Charlotte, and dog Thor), nurture friendships, put my feet in the creek in Manitou, travel! 🔸What are your Vedic astrology big 3 (rising, sun, & moon)? In fact, I've never loved Dandasana 🔸What inspired you to become a yoga teacher? Many years of being a practitioner and a life moment when I began to realize I could no longer will my way through life, that I had to simply be and surrender to life, come what may. 🔸If you could practice yoga anywhere in the world, where would it be? Rishikesh, India, probably. It's said to be the origin place. 🔸What are your favorite things to do when you're not on the mat? I love to write songs, sing them, and play hand drums as a hobby, but my favorite thing is just to spend time with my amazing little family. 🔸What are your Vedic astrology big 3 (rising, sun, & moon)? I don't know. I've never had a Vedic reading, but would love one. I was born on August 18, 1969 at around 430 a.m. in Smithtown, NY. Chris teaches Pose (Hatha) on Sundays from 10-11:15 am @ SunWater Spa!
